Senate hearings on Microsoft

  HEADLINE: HEARING SCHEDULED ON COMPETITION IN COMPUTER INDUSTRY

     The full Senate Judiciary Committee has scheduled a hearing Nov. 4 to
  air the issue of competition in the computer industry, a topic certain
  to
  highlight Microsoft's long-running antitrust battle with the federal
  government.
  
     The committee likely will hold a series of hearings, but only one day
  has been scheduled so far, committee spokeswoman Jeanne Lopatto said. 
  The
  hearing will be titled "Competition, innovation and public policy in the
  digital age."
