Re: oil inputs to paper?

A large amount of energy is required in the production of pulp
  and paper.

MacMillan Bloedel in Powell River reports 25 Gj per ton of
product. This comes from hydro, nat gas, wood (hog), pulping
liquor, sludge and refined petroleum products (oil).

Generally oil is being displaced by gas.
