US Ambassador threatened

  Today's NY Times (Friday 9/26), page A6 has an incredible story on
  Ambassador Carrington's exit from Nigeria. "U.S. Envoy to Nigeria Gets a
  Stormy Farewell" by Howard French. Very telling.
  The underlying message is that the Whitehouse knows exactly what is
  taking place in Nigeria. Perhaps better then any of us. And even in the
  face of years of incredible harrassment to the US Ambassador, the
  administration refuses to take appropriate action.
