  OGONI 20 EMBARK ON HUNGER STRIKE
  
  Twenty Ogonis held by the government in connection with disturbances in the
  oil rich region in 1994 have embarked on hunger strike to ''protest against
  the government's decision to stall court proceedings'' on the case since
  1994. ''It is regrettable that instead of the country advancing in the area
  of protection of human rights in accordance with civilised virtue it is
  championing the destruction of its citizens'' a statement by the detainees
