WIPO treaties

  As some members of this list must know, there is a huge battle over the
  pending treaties on Internet copyright and sui generis database protection
  which are being considerd right now in Geneva, at a meeting of the World
  Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).  Information about the
  controveries is available from http://www.public-domain.org
  
  Does anyone have any idea of the positions on these treaties by the
  Japanese government, or have any way of getting information to the
  Japanese delegation?
