Windows Somewhere

"The Economist" has published a story that highlights a quiet little group
in London that, because of its huge international corporate
titans/shareholders, may cause some problems for Microsoft's strategy of
buying its way into the next-gen cable box market.....by creating powerful
wireless devices that will take the internet to all kinds of next gen phone
and other wireless products....presumed to be a much larger potential
market and could foil MS "Windows Everywhere" initiative.

A little known joint venture called Symbian has some mighty big venture
partners like Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola and most recently and notably
Matsushita to develop standards based on Psion's EPOC (not MS) OS.

Always expect the unexpected.

If your wireless devices don't interact with the STT, or vice versa, will
you be a tech outcast?
