SLAPP suits

Dean - a SLAPP suit is a Strategic Lawsuit Against
Public Participation.  These suits are brough against
advocacy, nimby and other public interest groups that
are opposing a corporate project or vested interest. 
The object of the suit is to silence and disable the
opposition by scaring the group off or forcing them to
expend resources of time and money defending the suit.

Your warning about the picture is too late.  With my
trusty digital camera I took a picture of "Flo" and
put it smack-dab in the middle of the Green Mountain
OWL newsletter.  I am looking forward to the headlines
when the Citizens for Better Medicare which professes
to care about the elderly sues the Green Mountain
Chapter and our 82 year old president makes her
appearance in federal court.  Let the good times roll.
