I don't suppose RTIME is claiming patents on basic techniques such as:

* Maintaining different zones and letting each zone store only the
information relevant to users in that zone (just like DNS or NIS+)

* Time synchronization between systems (standardized in a widely used
system whose name I can't remember right now, but which has been used in
DCE and other systems for over five years)

* Synchronization of information between hosts (again, a common technique
used in DNS and NIS+ among other systems)

But its "inventions" are based on these simple techniques, and probably
could be subject to prior art challenges.
