        jamie love,

i just received a phone call from matt haber
-- the news corp employee and a high school
friend -- and he clarified the situation
for me. it turns out that his e-mails threatening
a lawsuit were in jest. i have previously been
threatened with lawsuits for very similar
reasons -- IDG Books' lawyers made me take
down a site called "Dummy's Guide to the
Library" for infringing on their "Dummy's"
trademark; and the University of Pennsylvania
recently threatened a lawsuit against my
roommate for creating a penn alumni site
at upenn.net -- so i, based on this past
experience with big corporations trying to
shut down my web sites, interpreted his e-mail
as being serious when, in fact, it was 100%
        a joke.

        i apologize for the misunderstanding.
thank you for your interest anyhow!
        it's much appreciated! :)
