This is an article by James Gleick, in today's NYT Magazine. The article
looks at Microsoft's business model, in a world where they already have a
better than 90 percent market share for their core products, such as
Wordprocessors, and Microsoft needs to force consumers to buy the same
products over and over again -- perhaps to even move offically toward a
rental model for software.
