Another industry heavyweight is weighing in with suggestions for
remedies in the U.S. Department of Justice vs. Microsoft Corp.
antitrust case.

Richard Stallman, founder of the Free Software Foundation, has provided
suggestions for heading off potentially anticompetitive behavior to
Ralph Nader's Consumer Project on Technology (CPT). CPT is hosting at
the end of April a conference on the Microsoft antitrust case, entitled
"Which Remedies? Appraising Microsoft II."

The consumer advocacy group has yet to publish its list of speakers, but
CPT officials have said Stallman was invited but unable to attend due to
scheduling conflicts. CPT also says that Microsoft will be invited to
present at the April 30 event.
