Dr. Janet Read,
I read your tips on the use of computers for young children.
http://www.uclan.ac.uk/facs/destech/compute/staff/read/Publish/ChiCi/chi
ldrentech.doc

Personally I am 100% sure that 'computer use has adverse effect on the
mind'. However I dont have solid proof of it, save a few articles like
yours and some BBC articles listed in the forwarded email below.

If you have evidence of 'the adverse effect of using computers on the
mind' please group reply to this email
'upd-discuss@lists.essential.org'.

Thanks much,
Mashi

Hello,
My hypothesis on the use of computers is the following:

Computer Use can have adverse effects on the mind
and therefore its use should be kept to the minimum.

Personally I am 100% sure of the hypothesis, but I
dont have solid proof of it.

Some evidence I have is the following:

ldrentech.doc

According to Janet Read of Child Computer Interaction Group of
university
of central lancashire:
1. The younger the child, the shorter the time(spent on
computers)should
be.
2. Even teenagers should only be at a computer for periods of around an
hour.
