Hello,
In Paul Samuelson's (MIT and nobel winner)
book of basic economics,
he talks of software as **capital** like buildings,
machinery. He also talks of the simple balance sheets
of a corporation where its assets and liabilities
are listed and ofcourse capital do come under assets.
He also talks of the stock market money as paper money
(obvious) and that the intrinsic value of corporations
of stock market (if everyone were to sell their
shares)
would be highly dependent on the corporations'
capital.

Does anyone know if software and intellectual
property are listed as assets in corporations'
balance sheets by accountants or whoever?

Thanks,
Masi
