But you know the French system is very different. :-)

The American system doesn't really have moral rights, so lumping
that together with copyright isn't a part of the picture for us. 
It really does just allude to the language that essentially says
some rights have been granted exclusively, the Constitutional
clause in question stating that this is a power of Congress.

I like professors who use the term "exclusive rights" -- I don't
feel I have to plow through misconceptions and can talk about
possibilities and options.  Though it might be that I might have
some difficulty with a French professor!  :-)
