I do agree with you and I would like to add that UPD has got no  
institutionnal power by itself. Thus, it looks much more effective to  
me to adopt very clear positions and to avoid balances. If we need to  
put a balance somwhere, that simply means that our argumentation on  
this point is still too complicated to be communicated. Rather than  
softening our point of view, I would prefer that we simply avoid  
discussions where we are in a strong positions like in the case of  
utilitarian analysis.


By the way, I am gonna attend WIKIMANIA where I will held several  
presentations and workshop on copyright, plus a very nice poster  
about the importance of PD (with Yann Forget).

Is anyone coming ?
