do you want to laugh ?

At the french wikipedia, we wanted to use the dictionnary written by =20
the Acad=E9mie Francaise, a french institute created around 1680 by =20
Richelieu to unify the french language. There are 9 editions of the =20
dictionnary of today.

To my mind, the institute is a public moral person and there are no =20
author's right on its creations (under french law), exactly like =20
judicial decisions.

I was ready to think that they would pretend that even being a public =20=

moral person, but that their creation would give birth to author's =20
rights. There are some cases and... why not. In such a case, we would =20=

have used the older dictionnaries, the one published for more than 70 =20=

years. I would have tried to argue but it would have been legally =20
complicated.

But...

...

they told us that these dictionnaries had been written by an IMMORTAL =20=

AUTHOR being still alive today...

can you believe it ? they wrote it ! ! !

I am still hoping to make them understand that this a legal =20
stupdidity. If not, we will just decide to do it anyway and wait for =20
their move...

an IMMORTAL AUTHOR...

incredible :D
