[English abstract]

This article (The age of the corporate state versus the informational and
cognitive public domain) analyses the concepts of state, corporations, and
the public domain. It sustains the thesis that nowadays societies ruled by
capitalist/empirialist systems of production, their states are deeply
fused to corporations and both orders have merged into an indivisible one.
It analyses that with the advent of this corporate state humankind falls
into one of its most critical and crucial stages, where if the forces
alternative to capitalism / empirialism are not capable to submit to the
rule of law its prime agent, which is the corporate state, or even to
dismantle it, humankind faces the risk that the corporate state will
hollow-out or destroy completely the democratic order. Particularly, all
along the work several factors show evidence of how the corporate state
has partially rusted the public domain on the library and information
sector by means of the marketization and privatization of its services. It
criticizes the lack of ethics, and moral and the psychopath features of
corporations. Finally it advocates for the return of the public domain and
for the control of the corporation through the call for accountability of
its power and all of the members on an individual basis of each
corporation under the rule of law so they could be judged individually as
any other common citizen.
