So was the "spin doctors' shift" from GNP to GDP!
The GDP looks better because it doesn't include the trade deficits,
but it's just an illusion. . .just like the revamped school test
scores to convince US families that "grade inflation" is real,
and their kids aren't really out of the top 25 countries before
they ever reach high school.
