On September 2, 2005, the Executive Board of the International Monetary
Fund (IMF) discussed the design of policy programs supported under the
Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility (PRGF). The staff papers for this
review comprise an overview paper, Review of PRGF Program
Design-Overview, and three background papers: Monetary and Fiscal Policy
Issues in Low-Income Countries; The Macroeconomics of Managing Increased
Aid Inflows-Experiences of Low-Income Countries and Policy implications;
and Can PRGF Policy Levers Improve Institutions and Lead to Sustained
Growth?
