IMF/WORLD BANK 60TH BIRTHDAY APPROACHING:

The IMF and World Bank will celebrate their 60th birthday in 2004. But it i=

time for a party =96 not as long as the debt continues to impoverish and ta=
ke
away
the sovereignty of peoples and nations across the global South.

On the institutions=92 60th birthday, Jubilee USA Network is organizing a
birthday
card campaign to the IMF and World Bank. We have developed birthday cards
that
call on the IMF/World Bank to cancel 100% of impoverished country debt
without
conditions, and we will be distributing the cards to activists across the
U.S.
and around the world. We hope to generate thousands of signed birthday card=

by
mid-April =96 then we will release them in front of the World Bank at an
un-Birthday party in Washington, DC on April 21, just before the
institutions=92
spring meetings.
