Globalization In Focus

The triad of multilateral institutions that manages the
global economy will occupy center stage this fall. The
IMF/World Bank meetings in Washington at the end
of September, and the WTO meeting in Qatar in
November will put these institutions in the public
spotlight--but their performance won't be getting much
applause. Instead, they face angry citizen movements
challenging the current directions of economic
globalization.
With its new Globalization In Focus webpage, FPIF
will provide close coverage of the issues facing these
embattled institutions, while also looking at agendas
and strategies of the citizens movements.
