[Random-bits] ICANN nomination committee candidates -- background info

Hans Klein has provided this pointer to information about the newly
announced candidates for the ICANN board, selected by the ICANN
Nominating Committee.  The biggest surprise for me was to see Larry
Lessig's name.  There will probably be others who seek to be placed on
the ballot through the procedures for petitioning (I'm not exactly sure
how this will work, other than that you have to get a unique group of 2
percent of a regions qualified voters to endorse a position on the
ballot).
