[Pharm-policy] PhRMA on generic perscribing in Indonesia

The Dec 3, 1999 PhRMA NTE section on Indonesia is fairly extensive, and
won't be repeated here now, but I found it interesting that a governemnt
policy to promote generic perscribing is considered a barrier to trade
under US trade laws.

Generic Prescribing
Although it is not actively promoted as much as it was in 1998, generic
prescribing remains Government policy, with the potential for
substantial adverse impact on PhRMA member firms operating in Indonesia.
Generic prices of products produced by Government owned companies have
been increased.
