This post discusses whether the new mandate of the World Intellectual Prope=
rty Organization (WIPO) Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Propert=
y and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and Folklote (IGC) will, in =
reality, be able to deliver particularly when looking at the debate around =
the =E2=80=9Cbiopiracy=E2=80=9D problem which was the primary driving force=
 behind the creation of the IGC nine years ago.
