This is to inform you about a public meeting organised by the TransAtlantic
Consumer Dialogue (TACD), Knowledge Ecology International (KEI) and Health
Action International Europe (HAI-E), to be held in *Brussels *on *Wednesday
June 10th, 2009* *(from 15:00 to 18:00, Hotel Radisson, rue d'Idalie, 1050
Brussels)*:

*The Global Enforcement Agenda of Copyright, Patents and other IPRs
Some Consumer Perspectives

The purpose of the meeting is to allow civil society experts to explain
their concerns about the global policy on enforcement of copyright,
trademark, patents and other intellectual property rights. The issue is part
of a complex and important area of public policy that touches on personal
privacy, civil rights, freedom, social and economic development, and
plethora of other issues. Before the European Union renews its institutions,
the meeting will allow an exchange of views with European Commission
officials and members of the European Parliament.

This meeting is a side-event to the 10th TACD Annual Meeting, to be held on
8th-9th June 2009 in Brussels. We hope that this event will allow to discuss
more in depth the issue of "intellectual property" enforcement, and will add
value to the discussion that will have taken place between the EU and US
government officials and TACD members on June 9th.
