Those attending the TACD meeting in Washington  *Patents, Copyrights and
Knowledge Governance: The Next Four Years*.

Monday and Tuesday are invited to a  "side event" on IP and standards
setting Tuesday January 13, from  1 to 2pm. in the  Carnegie
board room adjacent to the auditorium where the TACD meeting will be.

This will be an information sharing session  about global fora where IP and
standards setting policy discussions are occurring; what are the tensions
underlying these discussions; and a  short report by John Hane of Pillsbury
Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP on the recent petition to FCC w/r to patents and
the US DTV standard (see
