Roche=92s Fuzeon available through compassionate access programme for
HIV/AIDS patients in South Korea

Today, Roche announced the launch of a compassionate access programme
("Compassionate Programme") to provide the antiretroviral medication
Fuzeon (enfuvirtide) to HIV/AIDS patients in South Korea. Under the
Compassionate Programme, Fuzeon will be provided free of charge to
South Korean patients who have a medical need for the drug.

The new Compassionate Programme will be operated by the Korea Orphan
Drug Center (KODC), which is an organization dedicated to assisting
patients with medical needs. It is designed to make sure that Fuzeon
is immediately available to those who may need the drug. Generally,
patients may begin receiving treatment through KODC as soon as they
obtain a doctor=92s prescription. The Compassionate Programme is being
launched because Fuzeon is not currently available through national
health insurance programme in South Korea.

Headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, Roche is one of the world=92s
leading research-focused healthcare groups in the fields of
pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Roche takes its role to improve
access to medicines very seriously, and we remain committed to working
with all stakeholders to provide a sustainable solution for patient
access to Fuzeon in South Korea.
