Hi all,
Managing IP has a short article describing a resolution on compulsory licen=
sing for public health, approved by the World Intellectual Property Congres=
s (AIPPI) this week in Boston.=A0 I can't seem to paste the article, but it=
can be found here for one week:

http://www.managingip.com/Article.aspx?ArticleID=3D2007963&LS=3DEMS203965

According to the article, the resolution text states, "Concerning public he=
alth, a) the patent law should provide that a compulsory license can only b=
e granted in exceptional and strictly defined circumstances; b) the law sho=
uld not permit expropriation of patent rights."
