I asked Bruce Sterling*, the science fiction writer, if he could come up
with a better name than "counterfeiting" to describe the distribution
of:

1. medicines that may involve traditional counterfeiting
2. medicines that are sold without any traceable name in terms of manufact=
ures, that are sold as medicines, and may or may not have the right medicin=
al properties, and
3. medicines that have false dates or other information that hide problems=
with quality and identity of manufacture

Bruce is somewhat famous for coining neologisms. My personal favorite of t=
he Sterling list is Pharmatoxins. (Ellen 't Hoen has her own candidate" "p=
harma fraud")
