Dear All,

You will have read the posting about the Colombian Delegation at IGWG
purporting to come from HAI and you may have heard about the
distribution of a statement in the same vein at IGWG.?

I am now writing to clarify that this did not originate from HAI such,
nor did it go through our WHO clearance procedure.? It was, however,
distributed by one of the HAI delegates, and HAI takes responsibility
for this error.? HAI apologises for the statement, which has been
retracted.? Those responsible for distributing the document have left
the IGWG meeting.

I also want to publicly apologise for any offence that this statement
may have caused to any member of the Colombian delegation at IGWG.

HAI is committed to the IGWG process and realises the gravity of the
situation that may have been caused through the indiscretion of a member
of the HAI delegation.
