GNU-Darwin Action Alert: [Ip-health] Drug giant Pfizer tries to for ce medical journal to reveal anonymous sources

I would like to direct people's attention to the following story from
Steve Connor of the Independent, and thanks to Ira Glazer for
pointing it out.  Wikileaks' story is similar to this problem because we
have a case where a journal's anonymous sources may be compromised or
silenced due to the greed of one corporation with respect to one case,
but this real issue is clouded by irrelevant considerations.  In the
Phizer case it is an academic journal which is being attacked, which
additionally puts the peer review system and academic integrity at
risk.  That Phizer, which benefits from the good science that this
system produces, would even consider such a course is an outrage of
immense proportions.  Let's do whatever we can to stop their action.
