The Council for International Exchange of Scholars is seeking to bring
attention to several Fulbright Scholar research, lecture, and combined
lecture/ research awards in Intellectual Property law for the 2009-10
competition that is currently underway.
The official announcement states:
The Fulbright Scholar Program for Faculty and Professionals is offering
research, lecturing, and lecturing-research awards to Central and
Eastern Europe, the Baltics, and Eurasia in law for academic year
2009-10. These awards offer unique opportunities for specialists in a
variety of fields of law to assist in the development of new academic
programs and in the preparation of new cadres of professional lawyers
and public officials in the post-Communist era. Intellectual property
law is a field of particular interest in individual country programs.
Law is also identified as a preferred area of interest in "social
science" awards and "all disciplines" awards that allow candidates to
propose their own project and determine their host institution
affiliation. For general information about application requirements,
staff contacts, and the online application (August 1, 2008) please visit
the CIES Web site at http://www.cies.org/.
