Apples and oranges again perhaps. Yes there are "real rules that
matter", but they are often not enough to insure the right behavior of
corporations against their interests. Direct public pressure has been
shown to work in these cases. Obviously, it would also be great to see
the rules changed to better reflect the interest of the public in their
own well being.
