Dear Fellow Global Citizen,

I am very excited to announce the launch of ACTION's new website - www.acti=
on.org!

Visit this site frequently to discover:

The Advocacy to Control Tuberculosis Internationally (ACTION) project is an=
 international partnership of advocates working to mobilize resources to tr=
eat and prevent the spread of tuberculosis (TB), a global disease that kill=
s one person every 20 seconds.

ACTION uses cutting-edge advocacy strategies to support country-specific an=
d global solutions for the control of TB.  Since its inception in 2004, ACT=
ION partners have achieved numerous successes and made great progress towar=
ds eradicating TB, including:
    * Significantly contributing to the mobilization of more than US $554 m=
illion in additional funding for fighting TB from the project's target dono=
r countries, and
    * Bringing together the TB and HIV/AIDS communities in the project's ta=
rget high burden countries to improve their response to TB-HIV by setting b=
old policies and increasing civil society's advocacy capacity.

Yet, there is still much more work to be done and www.action.org is the pla=
ce to do it! On our site, global citizens and experienced advocates like yo=
u can become more educated about tuberculosis and get involved in the fight=
 against TB and other global health and development issues.
