Michael, Jamie and all,
In that Bill has a significant investment in drug stocks,
it is no small surprise that he takes this possition. Frankly
given his history, this argument he suggests is at a minimum,
disengenous if not intentionally misleading. Ergo, I take his
remarks on many things with a huge grain of salt accordingly.
Certainly if any drug company invents any drug it should
be able to charge for them. But if public funds are involved
in the development in those drugs invented, how much and under
what pricing circumstances becomes a matter of public interest
as well as public safty and health.
