No surprise here.  Shortly after Clinton signed the 08 Stop AIDS pledge,
Obama signed on too.  That means he has also endorsed the following point:

4. Support trade policies that protect and expand poor countries' right
to affordable, quality-assured generic drugs for important health needs.
Adopt humanitarian licensing policies that ensure drugs developed with
taxpayer resources are available off-patent in developing countries;

I wanted everyone to see this item attached - -Obama has signed the
global pledge. Yay!

Re global poverty, we at GAAF will now try to challenge the other
candidates to do as well as Obama on pledging a big overall increase in
poverty-focussed aid
