[Ip-health] Author of NY Times Op-Ed

[Mike Palmedo]

The author of the op-ed I sent to the list earlier took offense to the
fact that I had flagged it as "industry funded" and has asked me to
correct this statement. Below is his email to me, and how the New York
Times identifies the author.

EMAIL FROM AUTHOR:

Mike:
The my op-ed was not industry funded.  I will never write a "paid for"
op-ed.  Not ever.  Please correct this statement.  If you have an issue
with this please let me know and we should discuss with AU.

HOW THE NEW YORK TIMES IDENTIFIES THE AUTHOR:

Peter Pitts is president of the Center for Medicine in the Public
Interest, a nonprofit organization that receives financing from the
pharmaceutical industry.
