IGWG on Public Health, Innovation and IP.
In order to accommodate all participants and provide greater seating
capacity, the Bureau of the Intergovernmental Working Group decided on
25 October 2007 to change the venue of the meeting and that it be held
in the Assembly Hall of the Palais des Nations, Geneva. As planned, the
session will open at 10:00 on Monday, 5 November 2007.

It should be noted that heavy construction work is due to start outside
the Assembly Hall building on 5 November 2007. The UN conference
services have advised WHO that during the week of the Working Group the
noise is unlikely to be excessively intrusive. However, they have made
it clear that they would not be able to stop that work despite any
disruption it might cause. The risk of disruption from noise at the
Palais des Nations has thus to be set against the inconvenience to
delegations of holding the meeting at WHO and on balance the former was
considered by the Bureau to be the best option, given the concerns of
many Member States not to limit access to the floor to two members per
delegation, as would be required if the meeting were at WHO. Two other
rooms have been made available for drafting groups and regional group
meetings at the Palais des Nations.

The registration desk will remain at WHO headquarters, at the entrance
of the Executive Board room; its working hours are as follows:

Friday, 2 November, from 13:00 to 16:30
Sunday, 4 November, from 09:00 to 17:30
Monday, 5 November, from 07:30 to 18:15
Tuesday, 6 to Friday, 9 November, from 08:00 to 17:0
