allow IPR issues to be included in the strategy and for discussion of

Important day of action- get involved

The Stop AIDS Campaign would like to invite you to a day of action at
Parliament on 20th March 2007. On this day campaigners from across
the country will be travelling from to lobby ministers and MPs to
press for urgent action to achieve Universal Access by 2010. The date
is less than 1 week before the G8 Development Ministers meeting
Berlin, and so is a crucial time to press for action by the G8.

The day will have 3 main elements: a speaker event with Hilary Benn
(invite attached) 1-2pm, a lobby of parliament, and a rally/ 5pm. And
your support and participation would be hugely appreciated in all 3
parts. It will also be the occasion when we hand in the action cards
collected so far to Hilary Benn. Full details can be seen at http://
www.stopaidscampaign.org.uk/actionPills&Parliament07.asp

Your support really is essential in making this a successful day, so
some things you can do to help are:

Participate and promote to supporters and Staff!

1) Come to the speaker event and promote it to staff and supporters
and any people you think might be interested or useful. Please RSVP
to steve@aidsconsortium.org.uk if you can so we can get an idea of
numbers (if you put 'parliament event' in the title it will help my
inbox!).

2) Participate in the lobby of parliament and promote it to your
staff, supporters. Make sure you invite your MP to the event and/or
arrange a meeting with them that afternoon.

3) Take part in the /rally

Finally, the Stop AIDS Campaign have published a policy paper
outlining what the G8 must do in 2007 to achieve Universal Access.
This can be seen at http://www.aidsportal.org/Article_Details.aspx?
ID=4078 and may form the basis of our lobbying on 20th March.
