BELGRADE -- International pharmaceutical companies operating in Serbia
have signed an agreement to form an association.
The association will promote habits and activities improving people=92s
health and quality of living.
Members of the future association are ready to cooperate with
institutions and NGOs in a bid to improve public health in Serbia, a
statement said.
The association=92s goal will be to reach the highest transparency level
in the relations between the state institutions and the representatives
of the pharmaceutical industry, as well as to establish an ethics code
of business between the companies operating in the Serbian market.
The letter of intentions was signed by Astra Zeneca, Beringer Boehringer
Ingelheim, GlaxoSmithKline, Janssen Cilag (division of Johnson&Johnson)
Merck Sharp & Dohme, Novartis Pfizer and Sanofi-Aventis Schering Plough.
