Tomorrow Medecins sans Frontieres (MSF)  will host a briefing  by Madame=0D
Ruth Dreifuss, chair of the Commission on Intellectual Property, Innovation=
=0D
and Public Health (CIPIH).  The report of the Commission will be presented=
=0D
to  the World Health Assembly (WHA) next week.=0D
=0D
We have understood that WHO will not  hold a briefing on the CIPIH report=
=0D
at the WHA this year.  Mme Dreifuss will not  address the World Health=0D
Assembly.=0D
=0D
We know that several IP-health readers will be in Geneva for the WHA=0D
following the debates on the CIPIH report and the proposal by Kenya and=0D
Brazil for a GLobal Framework on Essential Health R&D.=0D
=0D
We are therefore pleased to invite you to a lunch briefing by Mme Dreifuss=
=0D
on the report by the WHO Commission on Intellectual Property, Innovation=0D
and Public Health (CIPIH) in light of the forthcoming discussions at the=0D
World Health Assembly on a global framework for essential health research=
