independent decisions. While Richard Elliott has been trying=0D

making is so pervasive is that anything Canada does will just=0D
be one phone call away. No wonder recent newspaper reports=0D
have started saying that the USA may restrict the scope of=0D
the Canadian Patent act changes to only selected diseases=0D
which the USA throughout insisted on. This is the worst=0D
developments of the Free-Trade Areas the USA has entered=0D
into, that the non-USA countries have become agents for the=0D
USTR. We have example of Edourado Perez Motta from Mexico=0D
working as an agent for the USA where he pushed Article 31=0D
solution for Paragraph 6 of the Doha Declaration. We have=0D
also the example of a Canadian (I am forgetting his name) who=0D
as Chairman of the General council did his bit to push=0D
Article 31 solution of Paragraph 6 of the Doha Declaration.=0D
We have seen the role played by Gopalan, the TRIPS Council=0D
present Chairman from Singapore in pushing the Article 31=0D
Solution of the Doha Declaration. The Singapore export has=0D
shown significant improvement this quarter thanks to increase=0D
in exports in pharmaceutical products from Merck=E2=80=99s. Find out=0D
