When posting messages to this or many other mailing lists, it is usually 
best to format the messages as plain text.  Messages sent as HTML will 
be readable by some members of the list, but not by others.
Also, messages formatted as HTML will usually not be very easy to read 
in the digest version of the list.

PS.  There are several ways to format text so it can be widely read, 
including setting your email program formatting option to plain text, or 
for longer documents, by using a "save as" command in a word processor, 
to convert to plain text.  One approach that will work in Microsoft Word 
is "save as" and then select "text with layout" (if you have installed 
this option).  Formatting in MS Word using 12 point Courier font will 
keep the lines fairly short and readable without problems by most email 
readers (some force a return if the message has more than 72 characters 
per line).
