Dear Friends in the U.S.
Tomorrow there will be a public hearing on the Framework Convention on
Tobacco Control (FCTC) in Nashville, TN. For those who cannot attend
(we assume all of you!), the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services is accepting comments online until FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27. The
U.S. continues to negotiate on behalf of Big Tobacco and to resist the
worldwide demand for a strong convention that puts public health before
trade interests.
Perhaps they have not heard us loud enough? It is vital that as many
people as possible submit comments demanding that the U.S. shape up --
or ship out! We've made it very easy to submit comments. Just click on
