Friends:

I have been off line for the last couple weeks, which explains why the
list has been dormant.

In the last couple days, our friends at ASH UK and the Center for Public
Integrity in the United States have broken a major story on tobacco
smuggling. In a series of messages to follow this one, are clips and
updates related to this breaking news.

Tomorrow, I will send a selection of international tobacco stories from
the previous couple weeks, and then the list will return to its normal
volume.
