Call for proposals
WHO Member States negotiated the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control
(FCTC), the world=92s first international public health treaty. The FCTC
was adopted by the 56th World Health Assembly in May 2003. As part of
its capacity building initiatives, the World Health Organization is
working with the UN Foundation on a project entitled =93Channel the
Outrage=94. Channel the Outrage aims to successfully advocate for public
health policies that will curb the tobacco epidemic and to increase
support for the signature, ratification and implementation of the FCTC.
Two sizes of grants are available, up to US$8,000 and US$2,000.
The deadline for submission is October 30, 2003.
