Question of the Month - January 2003
************************************
Dear Friends,
This month, we are going to continue the tradition of starting off the
New Year by compiling an up-to-date list of the most outrageous tobacco
industry practices around the world.
JANUARY'S QUESTION: What are some of the most outrageous methods that
tobacco companies currently use to market and promote their products,
present themselves as "responsible corporate citizens", and/or exercise
political influence in your community, state and/or country?
Please offer as many details as possible (e.g. what company & brand,
when, where, who, how). We are interested in any and all examples you
can provide -- especially ones that involve Philip Morris.
As always, share your answer with your partner if you have one, and send
a copy to Essential Action. Deadline: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2003.
Thank you in advance for all examples that you can gather!
