The EPO recently produced a series of scenarios for the future of the
patent system based on a spectrum from more of the same to one that
is based on some of the a2k principles. They are well worth looking
at and can be found at the address below. The EPO has now set up a
discussion form on the scenarios to continue the debate ( see address
below) which is open to all.
