Under the "Shaping Tomorrow's Networks Initiative" and in line with
the stated objectives of the WSIS Tunis Agenda for the Information
Society (November 2005), that =93=85 ITU and other regional organisations
should take steps to ensure rational, efficient and economic use of,
and equitable access to, the radio-frequency spectrum by all
countries =85.=94, ITU (Strategy and Policy Unit and Radiocommunication
Sector) and the Ugo Bordoni Foundation jointly organized a workshop
to identify global trends and good practice in radio spectrum
management.
ITU/FUB Workshop on Market Mechanisms for Spectrum Management was
held in Geneva on 22-23 January 2007.
To follow up on what was mentioned at the close of the conference,
workshop proceedings have been posted on the ITU event website at
www.itu.int/spectrum
