Mandelson urged to stop privileged access of services industry lobbyists
The organisers of the Worst EU Lobby Awards 2006 have urged EU Trade
Commissioner Peter Mandelson and the Finnish government to cancel
participationof EU trade officials in a closed meeting annex cocktail
party organised by theEuropean Services Forum, a lobby group representing
large European corporationsfrom sectors like banking, retailing, energy
and water. Leaked documents revealthat discussions about how to resume the
stalled WTO negotiations are high on the agenda of the meeting, scheduled
to happen Monday December 4th in Brussels.See also:
